What Is Fat Grafting?
Fat grafting, or autologous fat transfer, is a versatile cosmetic and reconstructive procedure that uses a patient’s own fat to enhance or restore volume in specific areas, such as the breasts, buttocks, and face. Also known as fat transfer or “fat injections”, this technique is known to provide long-lasting, natural-looking results. For many patients, fat grafting can be an ideal alternative to implants or dermal fillers.
What Does the Fat Grafting Procedure Involve?
During the fat grafting procedure, liposuction is used to remove fat from areas such as the abdomen, thighs, or flanks using a gentle technique to preserve fat cell integrity. Harvested fat is purified to separate healthy fat cells from fluids and debris. The processed fat is injected into the target area in small, precise amounts for natural contouring.
Fat Grafting Applications
Breast fat grafting can achieve modest breast augmentation with a natural look and feel while avoiding the use of an implant. It can also be performed for correction of asymmetry or contour irregularities in cosmetic surgery or reconstruction after cancer surgery.

What Can I Expect During Fat Grafting Recovery?
